Ice cream bars and pats on the back
God, I love a good ice cream bar. Especially the kind where the milk chocolate is creamy and the vanilla ice cream is smooth and silky.  Yummeh.

Anyway, my body still seems to be suffering the ill effects of the jet-lag.  Today was hellishly long and I couldn't stop yawning.  But I got a nice "attaboy" from one of the banks I deal with.  My contact sent a very nice email to me and my team leader saying that they were recently audited and the auditors were amazed at how clean the books were.  In fact, the auditor said that she had never seen proofs this clean.  Way to go me.  So, my team leader forwards it to the director and vice-president of my department, and they forward it up the chain of command until it reaches the president of the company who responded with a "good job" comment.  They guy probably doesn't even know who I am, but the accolades will look good since my review is next month.  And as an added bonus, I got 6 free movies passes out of the deal.  My job has these "Instant recognitions" they give out for such things as this.  So, yay!

I'm still getting caught up on all the anime that I missed.  Anime has taken on a whole new level since Japan.  I was watching an episode of Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou and there was a scene in one of the places in Shibuya that we visited.  I was like, "OMG we were there in person."  That was so cool.

Once my brain gets off the lag, I get back to finishing up that chapter of P&C.  I'm more than halfway through it, so it shouldn't be too much longer...when I actually get around to it. *grumbles*

I was like, "OMG we were there in person." And it looked so much less animated than this... ?? LOL.

Aw, it's great when workplaces recognize your hard work! *sobs* Even little gestures go a long way to motivate employees. *is thinking of sneaking out early* I envy you. *drinks heavily* ;)

Man, I'm sure there's an "instant jetlag relief" formula out there somewhere. I hear taking melatonin is a good way to get back to your normal sleep schedule, but I don't know what would work to clear the fogginess and fatigue part.

The lagginess is starting to subside. Going back to work and being in a routine is helping. I still have to drag my ass out of bed every morning, but that's nothing new.

And pour me a glass of whatever you're drinking on. This week has been sucking so bad. I'm buried under so much work that backed up while I was away. It is so not fun. Not fun at all.
