Hard to believe its almost over
It figures...just when I was finally getting used to the time difference, we're coming home.  We met up with my cousin and will be hitting (hopefully) a shabu shabu place for dinner before heading off to Hirajuku and Shinjuku.  We went up to Ikebukuro this morning to look for Otome Road, but I couldn't find it.  No worries though, I did find a manga store with rows and rows of yaoi goodies.  I picked up two Lamento dj's (the catboi pics I posted before are from that BL game) and one manga I hope Fushichou can do.  It's called "Nightmare Fortress."   Don't know the mangaka, but I've never read it before.  The art  is nice and pretty, nothing breathtaking, but there are lots of smex scenes.  The plot involves what looks like a cop and a monk investigating something and getting caught up in either a virtual or spirit world. There are guns and magic and one scene with wiiiiiiiings^^  I'll send you some pics, Lychee when I get back and you can see if its something the group might want to do.  It's a one shot, I think.  I didn't see anything past the one volume.

And we're getting ripped off in the states.  The 2 dj's and the one manga cost me 1,777 yen which is roughly $15.  The manga was only 600 yen, that's like $5!   We're paying close to $10 per manga in the US.

Ah well, I can't believe the trip is almost over.  This has been such a wild ride.  I'll give you a full report when I get back...probably on saturday.  I'm probably going to sleep for an entire day once we get back.

One manga?
ONE MANGA? See, I knew you should have left more room in the suitcase. And at those prices? Nice. Remember to pick up a big pack of Japanese candy or gum to share with coworkers - inexpensive yet authentic, and then they can't complain when you torment them with stories of your fabulous adventure while they were stuck at their desks the past week. ;)

that mangaka is very very hard to scanlate. but we'll take a look at it. wink wink.

soooo happy you're coming back! lots to tell! unfortunately, your timing sucks. I'm on my evil nasty shift starting this weekend, but [thankfully] I have the morning shift. You just won't see me this weekend. boohoo.

That's the one! It didn't look like it had any crazy sfx or chaotic art, but I'll let you be the judge of whether or not it'll make a good project. It's nowhere near Love and Catastrophies^^

And Boo on the late shift. I have much to share! I guess I'll see you when I see you.
