Just got off the phone with my cousin.  I don't know how I got this mixed up, but I somehow was laboring under the impression we were leaving Japan on the 22nd.  My cuz tells me, no we're leaving on the 23rd.  I get another day in Japan...woOt!!!   Hubbie and I are currently revamping our schedule and changing some of the hotel reservations so that we can spend an extra day in Kyoto.^^  Lots of shrines and temples to see.

I had hoped to have the next chapter of P&C finished before I went, but that doesn't look like its going to happen.  Ah well.  I'm bringing a laptop so if inspiration strikes me on the plane, I can write!  Lord knows I'll have 13 hours to kill  >.<

8 days until Japan!

Re: w00t
I usually get pretty wound up when traveling, so writing might be a good way to kill two birds with one stone. I'll be distracted and I'll finish P&C. It's a win-win^^

That's one thing I DON'T envy you for - the plane ride. I can barely stand 3 hours, and you've got 13??

And more time sounds great - although I'd spend it shopping. Are you going to Akihabara while you're in Tokyo? Pick up some original manga maybe? ;) And gum. I'd want to buy gum and/or candy with the japanese labeling. Little stuff like that.

Yes, 13 hour plane ride = much hurtiness. But the end result is far worth the pain. I hit my limit at 6, when I flew to Vancouver, BC. Hopefully I'll be in 1st or business class so all will be well.

And yes, we'll be hitting Akihabara amongst other districts. There will also be a very special trip made to Ikebukuro and a place known as "Otome Road" hee hee

OMG! Now I'm jealous all over again!!!! HA! So um, how'd do you trick hubby into that side excursion?

And are you taking an empty suitcase along for the souveniors? ;)

There was no tricking involved. I simply said, "we're going. Deal with it." :) Of course, he's all "don't abandon me while you're in there." But I'm sure its going to happen...I won't be able to help myself. Not a whole empty suitcase, but the one I'm bringing is large, so there should be plenty of room.

LOL - why do I love that he's scared? Hee.

As for the suitcases, I suppose you can always throw away your clothes there and buy new ones when you get back to the states. ;)

Oh, I love your icon^^

And he is scared. He doesn't want to be standing around outside a yaoi manga store which scores of schoolgirls walk by and giggle at him. I haven't told him that this is a possibility...its best he not know, but the standing around and waiting is not something he's looking forward to. Not to be callous, but I am not passing up this opportunity to get yaoi right from the source...he can wait.

Oh you lucky thing you!! It's going to be so much fun. You'll need to give a full report with pictures when you're back so we unfortunate souls can live vicariously through you :^D

Don't worry, there will be tons and tons of pictures and stories for everyone to enjoy. And I'll keep my eye out for yummy yaoi bits for the group to work on^^
