I did far too much labor on Labor Day
We pruned zee hedges...of many small villages...

Not really, but we did trim down the one bush right outside the computer room window.  It was quite bushy and overgrown.  *Sigh*  I hate manual labor.  I'm so lazy.  >.<      A virtual cookie to anyone who can name the movie I quoted above.

I had a really strange dream/nightmare last night.  In my dream, I was in the city (that would be NYC) with my husband and something (can't remember) happened where we needed to go somewhere really fast.  We're across the street from a big hospital where there are a lot of taxis coming and going.  He tells me to wait where I am and he'll get a cab and come back for me.  I tell him no, that I'm coming with him and I begin to follow him.  The crowd becomes bigger and I having trouble keeping up with him until I finally lose sight of him.  He seems to disappear into thin air and I'm frantic, hours later still looking for him.  By now the crowds are gone and I'm left all alone in front of this hospital in the middle of the night wondering what the hell happened to my husband.  It was a very upsetting dream.  Anyone want to psychoanalyze this one, be my guest.

Still working on Light.  Didn't get much time this weekend.  It's frustrating sometimes, but that's life.

Can't help much with the dream, other than to tell you they don't always mean something beyond beer and pizza. Or whatever else you ate.

Working on Light! Good, good . . . (spoken in Star Wars Emperor tones)

Soon the rebellion will be crushed and young Skywalker will be ours!

Sorry, got carried away with Emperor Palpatine references^^ As for the dream, suppose BBQ and appletinis may have been the catalyst for that one, but, who knows? It was definitely a stress dream and I suppose I am stressing about something...as usual.

I'm curious as to what, exactly, that is.

(Please, let me proof for you again? I promise I'll be prompt.))

Re: appletinis?
An apple martini^^ Though it's not made with Gin and Vermouth. I believe the ingredients are Apple Puckers (apple liquor), vodka, and apple juice. They're nummy.

And what ever made you think I wasn't going to let you proof my stuff? The last few short stories (a Loveless, a Viewfinder, a Crimson Spell, and a WHR) I did proof myself (badly, I'm sure) as an experiment, but you'll always be entrusted with Light and P&C...they're my babies. And you never did tell me what happened that one time when you were really, really late. *hint, hint*

Re: appletinis?
Thanks for the recipe. I'm not too much into martinis, though a chorus member introduced me to them properly. Another story for another time. (Not illicit, though . . . .)

What made me late? Oh, geez, I was angsting.

Ex-wife was being a turd, I was in a tail spin because of it . . . really bummed out.

My kids, my whole life was full of strife and turmoil. Work was a bitch - my new boss was on my tail like there was no tomorrow. Most of that's settled down, but for a while I thought I was gonna lose my job. And that sent me into the tail spin.

Well, most of that's over now. I'm moving on, and have put (I think) some of that behind me.

Anyway, that's what was going on.

More later, okay?

peace to you!

Re: appletinis?
Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that you were hit with that all at once. When it rains, it pours, right? But you definitely sound much happier and content in your recent posts. I'm glad things are moving in a much better direction for you. *Hugs*

Hate working on Labor Day
Yeah... it are suck. Almost didn't get home yesterday cause the buses apparently stopped working earlier...

Re: Hate working on Labor Day
Why would buses in Canada stop working on an American holiday? Unless that was just a coincidence.

Re: Hate working on Labor Day
I think it's also a Canadian holiday, seeing that quite a few places were closed, certain stores closed earlier. Hell, the pharmacy at Superstore was closed, too. And there's no school on that day, too.

Re: Hate working on Labor Day
Oh, phew... I sent an email to a guy name Travis, but his email had 4 common letters in it. I put in the wrong letter, and it got sent to the wrong address, so I was worried that it might be someone who'd be, like, nuking me using my journal or something... oh thank god...
