Happy Halloween!
My little guy had a blast Trick or Treating in his homemade Thomas the Tank Engine costume.

And when I say homemade, I'm not lying.  What you see here is a diaper box that has been painted.  A cardboard tube was used for the funnel and the wheels are very thin plywood.  The only thing that was purchased was the face.  My husband found a toy that was a similar size and order the replacement face part.

It weighed three pounds, so after a while he got tired.  The wagon came in very handy.

That is awesome :) We made our little one's Thomas the Train costume a couple of years ago, too. Though, our painted box didn't look half as good as this one, and he poke himself in the eye with the 'smoke stack' lol

I'm glad he had such a great time :)

There were a lot of hours put into the making of that costume, but my hubby is good with that sort of technical stuff. lol

What was your little man this year?

He was the Prince of Persia. I don't have the pics downloaded yet, but I put a company pic of the costume in a post:

:) Y'all did excellent on that costume :)

It's the ones with the shades (and the really big grin) that win for extra cuteness. Adorable, and a marvelous job on the train! Very impressed!

Thanks! I don't know how we are going to top this next year. We set the bar for homemade costumes pretty high.

It was, believe me. After every comment he would say "I think they loved my costume." LOL
