I'm baaaack
We took a short, little vacation to Pennsylvania to Lancaster (Land of the Amish) and Sesame Place.  We got off to a slightly bad start as moments after arriving to the hotel after a three hour drive, my husband gets a pain in his side/lower back that quickly builds to agonizing pain.  Our hotel room wasn't ready and we were planning on getting some lunch while we waited, but the pain crippled him to the point where I had to take him to the nearest emergency room.  Turns out it was a kidney stone.  As quickly as the pain came, it left within an hour and a half and we were sent on our merry way.  It was the shortest time I've ever spent in an emergency room.  We even went on a lovely train ride through the farmland later that night.  The rest of the trip was lovely.  We spent one day at Dutch Wonderland which was an awesome amusement park for little kids.  They had a ton of stuff for my two-year old to go on and enjoy.  We also went on a buggy ride and visited a working Amish farm.  And then it was on to Sesame Place.  Had a blast there but there wasn't nearly as many things my little guy could go on.

He loves trains.

Yeah, those vacations are a thing of the past for a little while longer. The joys of parenting. :)

Awesome photo! Is that on the Strasburg RR?
You were sort of near me (pa me, not kw me!) We're the edge of Northern Chester County, but Jim's office is just over the line of Lancaster County. The Lowes and Walmart nearby have buggy parking for the Amish. Bizzaro-land! But pretty, huh? Glad you all had fun, and your hubby is ok! (whew... bet that was a tough way to start your vacation!)

That is Strasburg, good eye. It was a little odd...especially when I saw an Amish woman with a weed wacker. O_o

Sounds like you had a great time ! Your little one is sooo cute :3
I remember I had many students from Lancaster, they had shown me pictures, it sounds like an interesting place.
And kidney stone ? Had some two years ago, the pain was definitely excruciating !

Yeah, it looked like it hurt a lot. Now my husband has some idea of what childbirth feels like. ;)
