Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it. May your day be filled with good times and lots of chocolate. And remember, the Easter Bunny hates you.

Hmm, will you be doing the whole "Santa, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny" deception? That seems like a big decision and I do wonder what the parenting books say these days on that subject.

I never believed the Easter Bunny was real, so I suppose I'll skip that one...Tooth Fairy too. As for Santa, maybe when he's really little, but when he's older I'll teach him more about the "spirit" of Santa and how it factors in to the spirit of giving at Christmas. I have no idea what the books say on this subject because I haven't really read any. I'm sure there are a ton of contradicting theories.

Did you watch ep 24 yet? I can sum up my reaction as- holy fuck!

I like that "spirit" of Santa idea. :)

I DID watch 24. I was a bit weepy there and now I have a feeling this is going to be one of those anime where only a couple of the main characters survive. It's too bad, since I just love the artwork of the anime, the characters, and the story premise. But it is a rather brutal tale, so expecting them to come out of it okay is rather optimistic of me. ;)

I can appreciate the fact that people are being killed. It adds to the realism. I remember watching G.I. Joe as a kid and being amazed that an entire war can be fought where no one died. But at the same time, it's still sad to see the characters you like get picked off one at a time. And I really, really hope they don't use Lockon's twin as his replacement without the greatest explanation ever conceived. Otherwise it will just come across as lame.

I think the show will play out these last fights and that'll be the end. No room for replacements.

Have you seen Baccano? I just finished it and wow. It's the first anime in a while where I wasn't immediately looking for another series to watch right after it. I'm lingering on it all. Interesting characters, lots of carnage, intricate plot. My brain is still trying to settle after all the timeline jumps, but it was quite the (train)ride! Wow.

There's the possibility of a second season. Any plot device, not matter how lame, can be explored. Let's just hope it doesn't come to that.

No, I haven't seen Baccano. My anime viewing has become rather limited these days. I'm struggling to keep up with Bleach, Naruto, and D Gray-man. I'll download some eps and give it a try if you say its that good.

I'm not usually one for brutal animes, but Baccano had such eccentric characters and it has a nice look to it. You can stream view it off veoh.com to give it a try before actually downloading episodes. It's definitely one of those "puzzle" animes, but eventually things come together. I had to rewatch the first episode a couple times just to figure out who everyone was. (If you watch the opening credits, the character names are listed as they appear.) Lots of characters and names to absorb. I'd definitely suggest taking a look.

I've been on an anime kick lately, watching a lot of different shows. I did catch up with Naruto and Bleach, but still haven't caught up with D Gray-man - I'm so far behind like episode 30 something. D:
