"When sorrows come, they come not in single spies, but in battalions"
Came home from work today to find out that my husband was laid off.  This is a blessing in disguise because it will force him to get a new job rather than languishing away in the old one like he was.  But now comes the wait to see how long it will take him to land another one.

Now watch, I'll end up becoming pregnant.  He was laid off once before, 3 months before our wedding.  The major steps in our life seem to be punctuated by him losing his job.

think positive! it would have been hard to abandon the job he had, but if he was bored to death there, that can only be better after a while. Life is stupid, sometimes we have to go through hard times to actually be happier afterwards *hugs*
And about the baby, why not, if you both feel ready for it ^^

Thanks for the hugs. I'm sure we'll be fine and if a baby should happen, that will be fine, too. I just thought it would be a funny coincidence.

Okay, now I'm intrigued. What did you mean?

okay, i'll try to make it short (you don't want me to get all emo/whiny)
my ex was kind of a family person. For some odd reason, he seemed to think that with him being 25 and me 23, if we didn't have a baby now, next year or the year after would be too late... Since he's a nurse, i thought he knew better... I love kids but i'm just not ready. This is one of the things that had us breaking.
And right after the break up, i had my periods late. I had never ever been so distressed in my life - in the end, it seems it was just stress and me messing with my pill but the end of february hasn't been my best time...
*gets lost into work again*

Um...he was sort of putting the horse before the cart there, wasn't he? Normally people get married first and then think about kids. Well, they aren't exes without a good reason.

well not quite, in France, moving in together is the important step, marriage isn't that important to everybody. There are lots of unmarried couples with kids and they're very well accepted. I think he brought up the baby thing because he felt long before me that we were turning away from each other. Make up sex, okay, make up baby was not his best idea...
I did have my share of responsability, i'll spare you the ranting though. I've been thinking too much about it lately.

And to be back to topic and to something of interest, i really hope everything turns out fine for you and your husband ^^

Well, thank you again. I'm sure it'll work out in the end. Now, I get to hate him while I get up for work every morning and he;s still sleeping the day away.
