Nucking Futs!
I think the noob's days at my job are numbered.  She messed up pretty bad this time.  She not once, not twice, not three times, but four--FOUR times sent the wrong faxes to two of the clients we handle.  Needless to say that the 2 banks involved are quite upset that their confidential information was sent to another bank.  She somehow kept switching the cover letters.  I don't see how this is possible since I prepared the faxes and handed them to her.  All she had to do was actually fax them.  I don't know what the fuck happened from the time I handed her the papers to the time she put them on the fax machine.  How fucking hard is this?!

Lord, I'm so at my wits end with dealing with her.  She has not retention skills.  You tell her something one day and its gone the next.  I, once again, had to show her how to attach a file to an email.  I've only been showing her everyday for the past 3 weeks.  When does it end?  My team leader and I are both in agreement that she's not working out.  I hate to be the one to cause someone to lose their job, but we cannot keep up like this.  He's going to talk to the director of our department tomorrow.  I want her gone.  I've given her the benefit of the doubt for a month, hoping that she'll pick it up, but if I still have to help her with this simple stuff, I have no faith that she will improve and we can't wait around for her.

My head is killing me.  I used to be an incredibly patient person, but this whole situation has pushed me to my limit.  I just need to get this all documented so it doesn't reflect poorly on me.

Oh man, and the one last part of what you were doing you entrust to her - fax this - and she screws it up and potentially makes you look bad. That's where I'd draw the line, too. If she can't handle the simplest tasks on her own, there's no way she should be working there. I actually can't believe she was hired in the first place when she seems to know nothing about office work. Who were the other candidates a chimp and a coma patient? Some poor applicant obviously got screwed over if this lady made the cut.

So enough waiting for her to miraculously become competent! Hope your headaches end soon. :)

The director of my dept hired her without any input from my team leader, you know, the person who actually knows the job and would be working with her. Smart, right? And look at what we get. I'm pretty sure if my boss had been involved, he would have asked the important questions like- do you have any computer skills?
