Well, considering that today went better than yesterday as far as the noobie at work is concerned, I still feel lethargic.  Part of it had to do with not falling asleep until after 1AM.  Hubbie and I were watching a travel show on Japan and got sucked in.  It was neat seeing some of the places we visited, but it only made us ache to go back again.  Ah, perhaps in a year or two.

I'm also, and it pains me to admit this because dammit I don't want to come across as shallow, a little bit bummed at the almost non-response to the new chapter of P&C.  Not including you guys on lj, I've received one review.  It's been a week and I post to five different websites...  Is it because there was such a huge span between chapters?  I guess people forgot about it.  It's my own fault, really.  I should be more diligent in my writing.  As it is, I haven't worked on chapter 15 in almost a week.  Maybe when I get the noob more self-sufficient and she ceases to be such a drain on my energy, I'll work on it.

It's also time for my bi-monthly-or is it quarterly?- anime squee post, but I don't have the energy to get screen caps together.  I ran down the list for a friend the other day and I'm currently watching 10 different animes.  Is that a lot?  It doesn't seem so, but this is what I enjoy so it doesn't seem like a chore.  ^___^   Eh, I'll try and get it together for tomorrow.

I won't even comment on the shootings in Virginia.  While I am curious to hear the facts, I am so not wanting to hear the Blame Game.  Who will it be this time?  Movies, Marilyn Manson, video games?  *shakes head in disgust*

Wow, that does suck after you worked so hard on that last chapter. I guess the yearly posts probably had something to do with that, lol. I've done the same thing, but the people who have hung in there for the update are always very grateful! ;)

I think 10 different anime series is a lot. But I'm basically down to 4: Bleach, Naruto, Wallflower, Code Geass. I am so behind on Death Note and stopped watching for now. And I wish I could keep up with Eureka 7, because I really enjoyed it, but even the dub episodes have now passed me by. Ah, well. I'm sure once summer hits and the days seem longer, I'll find more shows to immerse myself in and catch up on.

Oddly enough, the reviews always trickled in for P&C, but its never been this bad. I'm sure its the yearly updates.

Yeah, I guess 10 is a lot. I think I'm dropping one of them because its not really appealing to me anymore. I'll go over the whole list tomorrow.^^

I'm sure you'll get reviews soon... People might not have noticed the new chapter was up yet. And don't feel bad for letting this touch you - you put so much effort and so much of your own emotions in writing that it's only just normal to hope for feed-back !
10 animes? Sounds quite a lot at first, but then I gave it a thought, and i don't think i'm very far behind.
About the shootings, the European point of view, wouldn't be to consider video games or Manson responsible. In that kind of cases, we tend to look for answers in the society itself and how it brings people to end doing that kind of terrible acts. From this part of the world, what we truly can't understand is why are weapons that easy to get. On radio or tv or when people talk about it, it's the question that we can't help asking. Have seen the movie "Bowling for Columbine" by Michael Moore ? He does try to find answers.

Yes, I have seen that movie and it sickens me that in this country someone can get a free rifle for opening a bank account in some states. My jaw dropped when I saw that.

You see, here is America, when something like this happens you get a lot of people using the event as a platform to further their cause. We'll be hearing from everyone from the political to the religious about why this happened and blah, blah, blah. It's all rhetoric to me at this point. Placing the blame on music or violent video games is just a smokescreen for the real problem which boils down to the home these kids grew up in. And that can be partially blamed on the current economy. The cost of living and the need have material status symbols to prove some false sense of worth has caused people to live beyond their means. This has really caused a breakdown of the fundamental moral ethics you think should be ingrained into people's heads, but no. Its downright frightening when you stop to think about it.

Umm... the reason you haven't recieved a review from me... umm... well, it kinda has something to do w/ me not having time to have a read through it yet.

And the whole April's Fool thing kinda got me into not believing it was the real deal this time around.

Yeah... I'll be ok w/ what they say about the shootings, as long as they don't blame goth-dom for it again. Jeez, that idiot in Montreal caused a real ruckus those months back. And they blamed it on gothyness cause the guy was frequenting vampirefreaks.com
Bullshit, eh? I had to put up w/ bullshit for a while because of that.

Well, read it! And I did note on the post that it was the real deal, so the April Fool's excuse is not going to fly.

As for the shootings, something lame will get blammed just you wait. I already heard of some Senator somewhere in the mid-west trying to point the finger at video games. Idiot...this was before the video confession came out. Nice waiting on the facts there, douche-bag.

Well, there was the story about the boy who cried wolf... and I learned some stuff from that. Umm... sorry for the kinda foolish excuse?

(Twiddles thumbs, gets to reading)
