bars and tone
That's a video term for the color bars and squealing noise you sometimes see/hear at the beginning of a tape. Its used to set the color and audio levels for playing on machines different from the one it was recorded on. That is what's currently playing in my head at the moment. My effing (I'm tempted to use the C word here) of a director had to be her usual nitpicky, micro-managing self today. There was much rage because it was completely unnecessary.

All that plus the usually double load of work I have on Mondays has left me brain dead. I was apparently so out of it this morning that I forgot to put eyeshadow on. Doh!

Anyway, I have some more fun with weird Japanese video clips. The first one is an educational video. Not quite the "Take anything you want" variety, but...well, you'll see. Have a shot of whiskey ready for after you watch this.

This next clip requires you to know what bukake is. Now that you've been informed, check out this commercial.

my, the second clip was, errr, frightening to say the least... was talking about this with japanese friends of mine, and women situation in Japan is not yet that good... None of them wants to go back (one's even engaged to a guy she barely knows...).

Good luck with your boss! Bossy bosses are jerks *nods*

Arranged marriages...yuck! And so old school. For all of Japan's advancements there are still areas they need to update.
