Poem time
This is a poem I wrote for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary.

Rubies, like wine mark the passage of time

That age can never dull the enduring shimmer.

Soft is the wind that blows you to each other

Though gale and storm have tried their might,

Love is more than a safe harbor,

An aegis.

And yet, though your fledglings may travel far,

The lessons taught not unheeded,

Your light shines like a beacon high on a barren cliff

Leading us all

Home and to your warm embrace.
