I almost blew up my work computer
I came in to well over 2500 emails.  I couldn't get an accurate number because I had to keep deleting as they came in so Outlook wouldn't crash.

It was difficult to leave my little guy this morning, but all went well.  I'm sure tomorrow will be better and so on.

I hate Outlook. I have the same problem with my work email. They've put in some decent blockers now to cut down the spam, but ugh! And it's such a pain to delete all that crap. Must have taken you a while.

I don't envy your adjustment from mom to working mom. I do hope it gets easier.

I'm still numb over the G00 ending. I think you should watch Baccano! right away to get over it.

Yeah, I wasted my first hour and a half deleting. Total suckage.

As for 00....why? Why Hallelujah?!!!! Dammit, I like my bish to be fucked up and they have to go and "kill" his psychotic alter-ego. And on top of that I wonder if they're going to have him rocking the Roy Mustang pirate patch as well. I say let him keep the mismatched eyes and give him a nice scar. It's just too bad that we're going to have to wait until October to find out.

I like that scar idea, too. And yeah, they seriously didn't give us enough of the characters. These are some very interesting guys and it feels like they wasted that. Eh, that's my problem with mecha anime. I'd rather spend time with the characters instead of the fighting. I also didn't like that the super soldier chick turned out to be someone Allelujah knew. And the whole Setsuna/PrincessWhat'sHerFace who he met like twice yet somehow formed this immense bond with. Ugh. Definitely liked the characters, but not the way they were used. I think I'd find more satisfaction in G00 fanfiction. ;)

Baccano is wild. The first half of the first episode is a bit confusing as they explore where to start the story off and who it's about. The majority of the series takes place in 1930-1931, but the story goes back to 1711. Quite the (train)ride. ;)

Yeah, I don't get where they're going with Setsuna and that chicky at all. It just seems pointless, unless they're going to explore it in season 2. I don't really care, I just want more Allelujah. Have you been reading any of the fan speculations on Tieria? I personally thought he was a girl in the first ep before he spoke. After watching the first season, I think it would be lame and misplaced if they pulled a gender switch now.

Have you checked out the first episode of Bus Gamer? It just came out the other day. Its another anime based on a Kazuya Minekura manga...you know, the creator of Saiyuki. I read a small snippet of the manga ages ago, but the first episode was interesting enough to keep me watching. It's Minekura-sensei, how could I not?

Are there only a few episodes of Bus Gamer? I know the manga was very brief. I watched the first episode. I do love how she draws her males. ;) That Saitou character is rather annoying, though. I was kind of hoping he'd turn into some melee berserker or something, but instead he seems pretty helpless so far.

The manga was cut off abruptly when the magazine it was published in went bankrupt. From what I hear, Minekura-sensei is working with the writers to continue the storyline in the anime. It should be good. I'm surprised that there isn't a Hakkai look-alike in this one. There seems to be one in all her works. LOL

Saitou has to be the plucky comic relief. The other two were all angsty and morose so he has to offset that.

Baccano! AMV
You probably don't have much time right now, but when you do... ;)

Re: Baccano! AMV
Interesting use of the Death Note ending. This looks nice and violent. I'll get around to watching an episode soon, I promise.

Ah, is that what it's from?
I never got to the end of Death Note, so I hadn't heard it before, but it went well with those Baccano clips!

Well at least it makes you feel like an important person at work... Or does it? XD

I'm sure your in-laws are great with your baby! Good luck for the back to work ^^
evilkat_meowevilkat_meow on April 3rd, 2008 02:55 am (UTC)
No, it doesn't make me feel important. Hell, half of the emails are not essential to my job, I'm cc'd on them just in case. Sucks.
rookafrk on April 3rd, 2008 03:12 am (UTC)
awww, i see...
well at least, that's done and no more waste of time is to be expected ^^
