I'm all edumacated in the ways of birthing now
Tonight was our last Lamaze class.  We are all cleared and deemed ready for delivering this baby.  No, seriously.  We have a certificate and everything.  I don't feel it was a total waste of time or money, so that's good.  It was informative and answered many questions I had about what actually happens at the hospital, not so much with me.

As for me, I'm done.  Its not fun being pregnant anymore.  I feel huge.  My back and hips hurt most of the time.  Its hard for me to get comfortable in bed, despite the pillow between the legs trick.  Therefore I haven't been sleeping well these last few weeks.  This accounts for my absence from the LJ world.  I've just been too tired.   Not to mention that I have to wake up to pee in the middle of the night.  Without fail, somewhere between 4 and 4:30AM my bladder will wake me up.  It's like clockwork.

The nursery is still not set up.  We haven't even ordered the baby furniture yet.  We have a bassinette that we'll use for the first few weeks, so we won't need the crib right away just in case it takes a few weeks for the stuff to come in.  But I have this feeling that there is still so much to do to prepare the house for the baby and I won't have enough time to do it all.  Put the holidays on top of all that and I have a little kernel of stress forming.  My fatigue isn't helping, but I really need to get my butt in gear.   I still have to pack my hospital bag and we have to install the car seat in my car and get it checked out by a safety inspector.  That last part is optional, but highly recommended.  Le sigh...

I have a meet and greet with a pediatrician tomorrow.  This doctor comes highly recommended by a friend, so I'm pretty sure I'll be going with them.  This is a formality.  See?  So much to do.

Try not to stress, hun. It'll all work out and be fine. You might try laying your belly on the pillow so that you are on your side, but not all the way on your side (kinda more on the edge of your butt cheek). It's like using the pillow as a barrier to keep you from going all the way on your side. Then if needed, put one at your back to keep from going back flat. This might give your back and hips a breather.

I'll give it a try. At this point, I'm desperate to find a comfortable position without having to go through a hundred different ones first. Thanks^^
