Gift pimpage
My mother-in-law made me this diorama of a Japanese tea house for my birthday.   It's amazing.

The details are crazy.  She got the authentic Japanese handmade dolls off ebay and purchased most of the furniture and accessories, but she made everything else.  There are little LED lights underneath the tatami mats to give it a very modern feel.  Major props to mom -in-law for this one.  It has to be one of the best gifts I've ever received.

Stunning work! I love all the little touches she put in. Can you imagine how much you would have had to PAY for something like that - Lucky! ;)

Considering how many man hours she put into it, it would cost a pretty penny, that's for sure. She tried to incorporate all my favorite things in it like the sword, the dragon, and the maneki neko. If you look closely, on the bottom left is a miniature picture of hubbie and I with the Japanese schoolgirls. LOL.

That's incredible, it must have taken her hours!

More like months. She told me she started working on it back in February. Yikes! But she loves doing these sorts of things and I appreciate getting them^^
